Typography Sculpture

 
 
These are images of my typography final project.   A sculpture constructed of clear acetate with typography used as part of the design.  The subject of my the sculpture is:  The parts of Letterforms and its History. 

Typography is a very interesting but mostly overlooked subject.  I am considering designing my own font.   Maybe I'll call it Pyewacket.

These pictures were taken a few years ago in my backyard.  The hawk seemed uneffected by my presence.  This type of hawk has lived and hunted in this area along a creek.  It is quite a beautiful creature. 

Making Bunnies

I have been spending a lot of time sewing lately.   I'm making more bunnies for sale on etzy.  My studio is once again a mess, I know I'll have to stop and clean it soon.  I've also started the cutest series of kittens, they are pieced like the bunnies but in brighter colors.  Each one is unique.  They don't have clothes like the bunnies, I will try and have a picture next time.

It was so very beautiful today until about 5:00 pm then it rained.  Oh, well.

This is a littlle painting I made. 

My most recent finished quilt

This is the finished quilt that I posted earlier.   It is about 2'x3.5' and is meant to hang on a wall.  The design is my own, its a combination of antique quilt patterns.     
 
The sweet Dobbi vistits the studio.  She says, "What kind of trouble can I get into?"  

Working hard in my studio

I 'm working hard in my studio, trying to finish old projects and starting new ones.  Here are a few images of my work space.  Brace yourself, and no I am not a hoarder.  Everything in my studio has a future in a project or as a source of inspiration.
